If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I was discouraged by the magic jack and vonage reviews so I went w/ooma. I just set it up today actually! It wasn't cheap but will pay for itself in 6 mos or so. I don't like to talk on my cell phone at home and I'm home all the time. It doesn't connect to your computer, it goes between the modem and router which is supposed to make a better connection, I called a few people and it worked perfect so far, they couldn't tell it was throught the internet. And I had a choice of 6 or so local numbers. U can carry over your number but they charge U. I'll have to see how it works over time...

I use the magic jack as back up. A few minor glitches, but all in all it works for us. I use my cell as a primary phone.

Go with Nettalk
slightly more at $30/year but quality is better, plugs directly to the modem. I don't know how much to buy the DUO, I got in early, bought the TK6000 for $100 and got a lifetimer - yes, no yearly fee for the life of the gadget.
