Talking the evil swimsuit discussion :)

    just thought i'd ask... LOL

What's your fave bathing suit style?

Do you use a cover up? If so, what style?

Do you wear fashion shoes to the pool/beach?
(If so, HOW do you walk in heels in the sand?! LOL)

What are your fave or basic accessories when going to a pool/beach?
(floppy brimmed hat? sunglasses? beach ball? your fave brandname (discounted) beach bag?)

    Anything else?

One piece, full top coverage or I'll plop out. No cover up, but unless I'm just home or mom's I won't get in a suit. I just won't go. Gastric bypass left some flab that I'm not willing to bust out. I don't even wear shorts around my own house. Sad, really.

I used to do tiny bikinis but my body doesn't look as good as it did a few years ago. This year I will buy the type that has the wrap bottoms and a top with more coverage.

I used to wear shorts but I want to start wearing capris.

Don't know if it's age or what but I want to change my clothing style.

I like Tankini's. I need full coverage on my tummy because of MASSIVE stretchmarks. Other than needing to cover my tummy, I don't have any other preferences. No cover up.

I ALWAYS bring my sunscreen, beach umbrella, and sunglasses.

I would wear a bikini... but I'd look more like a sausage held hostage!

I wear flip-flops. I can't stand squeeky sneakers and a grain of sand stuck in my shoe has driven me up a wall.

I usually wear either a one piece with a long skirt... with a pair of shorts under them too. I hate bathing suits really, I'd prefer a long tshirt with shorts....

Aww, who am I kidding... I'd feel more at home in this!

What's your fave bathing suit style?
    Takini

Do you use a cover up? If so, what style?
I will wear a beach jacket if I am just walking around, like from the condo to the beach, into the store, etc...But on the beach, by the beach, in the ocean, by the pool, in the pool - no cover up.

Do you wear fashion shoes to the pool/beach?
(If so, HOW do you walk in heels in the sand?! LOL)
I always wear some form of beach shoe, even in my pool. I have a disease that does not allow me to go barefoot EVER.

What are your fave or basic accessories when going to a pool/beach?
(floppy brimmed hat? sunglasses? beach ball? your fave brandname (discounted) beach bag?)I have Coach sunglasses that go everywhere with me. I don't wear hats. We do have the volleyball and football. Plus, we have a variety of floats, nets, buckets, etc. My favorite beach towels are made by Ralph Lauren. They are white with the Polo Bear really big in the middle. They are the softest, biggest towels. I have several different beach bags. I swap them out each time we head to the beach. I have to clean them out on a daily basis to keep the sand brought in to a minimum. Normally we also bring along some sunscreen, a cooler, radio or iPods and cell phones.

Lady_V - that link didnt show. It came up as "Forbidden" for me.

Neely, those towels sound great! Nothing like wrapping up in a comfy, soft, big beach towel.

I didnt answer this myself... i just realized.
    I'm a 2-piece queen. However, I love tankini's!
There are SO many styles now of 2-pieces, you can have regular underwear looking bottoms, high hip, low waist, boy short, thong, "skirt" (w/built in bottoms)...

and the tops are bra-top (bikini), tank-top (tankini), halter, strapless...

    it's great i think.

You're kidding, right??? I haven't owned a swimsuit in 20 years. I'm way to body concious, and at a size 6, it still aint something anybody wants to look at :-(

(If so, HOW do you walk in heels in the sand?! LOL)
I just wear cute flip flops

What are your fave or basic accessories when going to a pool/beach?
(floppy brimmed hat? sunglasses? beach ball? your fave brandname (discounted) beach bag?)
I don't usually wear a hat but do wear a visor if I'm gonna be out for a while to keep the sun off my face

    Anything else?
Unless I'm going to be doing a lot of hardcore swimming I usually wear my jewelry. I love jewelry, all kinds. I think I'm a gypsy at heart (no offense to any gypsies meant)

I wear a basic one piece. I like it cut higher in the leg, but want wide straps and support in the cups of the suit. I have slip ons to walk on hot sand or concrete. If I am at home I do not wear a cover up, but if I am out I have a robe type cover.I have cheap black sunglasses, towels, a radio, a magazine, an umbrella, and flavored water to drink. I use sunscreen with Mexoryl. I have to have it shipped, but won't be without it. I do not want to have a burn. PS- Neeley!! You look like your son. I was so sure you looked exactly like your girl.I had you pictured as very short, with jet black hair!!

That is so funny. You are the second person at FV that has said they had pictured me with jet black hair. I am very short - only 5 foot - not an inch more.
