What is everyone going to do with their stimulus check?
Sorry if this has already been posted. I was just curious what everyone is going to be doing with their stimulus check?
We are building a chicken coop and already have 16 buff orpington chicks that are 4 weeks old tomorrow. The rest of it will just go into savings. I think we should be getting around $2,100.Leah

We had thought of building a barn but that has been put on hold. We are going to catch up on a couple of bills and then put some in or should I say start our ef fund.

I'll be buying a milk cow that I'll share with my brother-in-law. Hubby is getting two truckloads of composted manure for the garden. The rest is going to pay for my girls' college expenses.

Put it back into savings for the money we're using to

Putting it back where it came from
. We are getting back exactly what we had to pay in taxes this year, so while it's nice to get the money back it was mine to begin with.

We're playing with a couple of options here.
1) Save it - we have a 3 month EF which we felt was fairly sufficient since we both have jobs that should be stable and we could make the absoulte basics on either one for a while. We are re-ealuating with the way prices are climbing going to a 6 month EF
2) Put it towards the various house projects that are needed. We could get a lot done with it since we do the work ourselves
3) Send it in on the morgage

Going out to visit my son, his wife and our grandchildren. We haven't seen them since Aug 2007. Whatever is leftover will be used to pay down some credit!

Well, unfortunately won't be saving. Need to upgrade computer since it is old and software I use is no longer supported and printer won't work with it. But then again, without the check probably would take even longer to get a new computer.
Just need to practice some self control to wait for a good sale. LOL.
