DH has a very large family and I think you just solved a problem for my in the way of Christmas presents.
Now to find a deal on jars.....anybody know of one?

You don't HAVE to use canning jars for these. I've used mayo jars, tea jars and such. And if they don't have to be layered- I've used quart sized baggies and put them into other containers.
