    Default Brownie Mix

    Brownie Mix

    2 cups sugar
    1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
    3/4 cup baking cocoa
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 cup chopped nuts

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Store in an airtight container. Give with serving instructions.

To serve: Empty mix into a large bowl and mix in 2/3 cup vegetable oil, 4 eggs (beaten) and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. Stir just until moistened. Do not overmix. Spread in a greased 13x9-inch baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Makes 2 to 2 1/2 dozen.

Makes enough mix for one batch of brownies.
