Decorate your mixes inside the jar

While on vacation, I couldn't resist going into a quaint country store and I saw tons of mixes in jars. They had some mixes that were layered in the jar that brought back childhood memories.
As a kid I Remember layering colored sand in a glass bottle and pushing a long skewer in it to make different color indentations? Well they did that with the mixes. Really cute!! (it was kinda like this pattern around the jar)

For instance- a brownie mix-
They put cocoa in the bottom -next layer sugar - poked the sugar layers into the cocoa to create a design round the glass.
Then add the next layer and repeat with skewer.
They topped it all off with the material square under the ring and instructions.

Just thought someone might like the creative look inside the jar.

Thats a neat idea. I wanna make these gifts in a jar but noone in my family bakes but me! Guess I could give myself some goodie jars heeheee
