Brenda, I bet you are going to have a gorgeous home when you are done with all those projects. I do not like panelling either as I also think it is too dark, so I understand why you took it down. When you get time, after all the remodeling, post some pics. I would love to see the new home.

I am glad to hear that everything went smoothly with the closing. That gives me hope for ours. We are supposed to close on or before the 23rd of December as long as everything goes according to schedule. (Crossing fingers)

Thank you..it will take some time to get it gorgeous a couple of rooms are the way I like it..like the kitchen and the bedrooms..My little brother told me and dh that "you will always" want something better for your home and that that will never end.. he has has owned his home for 5yrs now...I think he's right because dh and I are constantly thinking about how if we had the money we would put and addition on as well as a huge bathroom with a whirlpool tub and the list goes on and on .....
Dh did take some pictures..I'll be sure to post the before and after pictures when finished..
If you don't forsee any problems with anything now I'm sure you'll have a smooth closing like us..
