To be quite honest I have a load of New Year Resolutions but if I stick to just this one then the rest will just fall into place.
I tend to worry a LOT about a LOAD of things and also let a lot of things get to me.
If I could just take one day at a time and just have faith that things will work out then I believe that everything would be a lot easier.
So that's it - as my kids would say - be 'chill' a lot more about stuff.*Avril*

Mom to Laurens (30), Timothy (26), Dimmen (24), Lloyd (23) and Fiori (21).
May - no spend days 8/15
May - hanging laundry loads 3
May - no eat out 13/15
May - baking 1/1

2) Let people around me know how I appreciate them.
3) Take more classes.

- Learn to enjjoy running with the dogs
- Stay calm & present in all I do
- Be grateful for what I have
- Finish projects that I start
- Go to bed with a clean kitchen sink
- Drink 1(one) diet coke a day
That should keep me busy.patticakes

I have set the bar really high for myself, but I'd like to empty every room, drawer, closet, ect. out of useless clutter. I want my small home to reflect someone who lives within the confines of their space and not someone who makes her small home cluttered by having more than I need.
I also plan on completing the conversion of the tiny spare room into a dressing room for me. With 3 males in this house I need some space to get ready in privacy.

~On my way to a healthier me, just need to keep my eye on the prize.
~I resolve to be neater with the checkbook
~ take more chances & not be a scaredy cat. It's easy for me to motivate others & cheer them on but when it comes to me...
~ someone in my life has for whatever reason shut me out of her life. I want to let that be and not dwell, I've done enough dwelling. I've done what I can & the ball is in her court so to speak. Time to let go & spend time on things I do have some control over.
~oh I want to be more creative too, sewing more is tops on the list.
~Oh another thing, lol. Dh is retiring & with that I want us to go through this house & pare down, way down. Want to make the simple life even simpler.Last edited by Darlene; 12-31-2008 at 12:48 PM.

My biggest goal this year is to run 500 miles. I figure it's really just 10 miles a week, and I have two bonus weeks in there also!
Last Feb I started the couch to 5k program, ended up losing 15 pounds (without dieting!) and I feel so much better. I sleep better, breathe better, ect. So that goal should help keep me going.
After that - it's to return my libary books on time, but that is a resoultion I make every year lol

On New Year's Eve 2009, I'll be a healthy person with a balanced bank account and a CV that makes people turn green with envy :-) Most of my goals have to do with finishing degrees, getting qualifications and stuff, and the rest have to do with keeping my physically and financially fit enough to continue this lifestyle

This sounds interesting- is there a book or website for this program? What exactly do you do to get there? I have thought about doing the local 5k for several years but never seem to get myself motivated in time to start training. Incidentally because of problems w/ my knees the 5k I am looking at is also open to speed walkers- does this program work for speed walkers as well as runners?

I think it's just for runners, but I guess you could modify it for speed walking pretty easy. I really really like this program, and recommend it every chance I get!
