Theresa's Bucket List
I was inspired by reading this forum, lol. I'm setting a list of goals that I want to accomplish/things to do. I'm giving myself a flexible time limit of 5 years to accomplish as many as possible:
1. Visit the British Isles
2. Learn to sew and actually complete a simple reenactment dress
3. Get back down to a healthy weight
4. Take a genealogy class at the state archives
5. Find a publisher for my first self-published book
6. Write second book
7. Visit Canada
8. Visit Washington, D.C.
9. Investigate Waverly Hills
10. Write a children's book for my son
11. Learn to play the piano
12. White-water rafting
13. Ice skating
14. Learn to drive a stick-shift
15. Be involved in a play
16. Go to the movies by myself
17. Go skiing
18. Eat a lobster dinner
19. Meet someone famous and get pic taken with them
20. Run a mile in less than 10 minutes, lol.

Hmmm! I think about things like this sometimes too. I've never given myself a "real" time limit to get them done though. I'm guessing that's probably a good idea instead of just pushing these thoughts to the back, and forgetting about them. But here's some things I probably could accomplish in 5 years if I got real assertive about it.
1) Start a life-journal, and actually keep up with it. I think it's thereapeutic to write down your thoughts. It's also a fact that women especially benefit from doing that.
2) Plan out a vacation for EVERYONE in both hubby's and my families. My bf in NY did just that with her 10 brothers and sisters on a cruise. I was ~almost~ jealous of her. But I think that would be excellent.
3) I'd love to learn to sew too. Classes are held at Joann's, and I want to go....soon!
4) Loose 10 lbs. so I can fit back into my size 8 clothes again.
5) Be on a regular exercise routine.
6) I've been gathering some good "finds" at the thrift stores to open an on-line Etsy shop. I'd love to have it become enough of a success to help my husband pay off my med bills. I don't need an abundance, but like I said, "just enough".
7) Go on a second honeymoon. I dream of taking my husband to Italy. He wants to go so bad. He even talks of moving there.
I would go for him, but I think I would limit it to stay about 5 years, unless we all truly fell in love with it, and I probably would...lol! I'd never lose those 10lbs. though, that's for sure
Even the babies can't stop eating over there. Pasta becomes part of their diets at 3 months...lol! I laugh, but trust me, we have family there, and I've been told that American babies are looked on as being unhealthy because they're so much smaller. I remember the European immigrants in Brooklyn....when they had babies, they'd put a little whiskey in their bottles to increase their appetites. No...I'm not lying. Fat babies mean alot to their public appearance.
8) Take some decorating classes. Another BIG dream of mine.... becoming an interior decorator. I'd truly be in my niche! Ahhh! To dream, to dream!
9) Work up the courage to fly. Nah! Changed my mind already...LOL! I like it better down here.
10) Last but not least. Uhmmm! Learn how to type with more than one finger. With all the gabbing I do on-line, I'd be doing myself a BIG favor! hahaha!!!
11) OOPS!!! Just one more....take some dance lessons. I'd love to be able to tango.
That dance is "poetry in motion", wouldn't you agree?
So I guess that's enough for five years for me! Anybody else want to add a list? It would be fun to see what others think about this.
Good topic!

I've been fortunate to get to do most of what I would have put on a "bucket list" years ago. Two things are left - To go to the Handweavers Guild Convergence, which is held in a different city every two years, and to go to Burning Man.
