    Default Leaky bucket list

Bucket lists are fine, but what about things you'd rather NOT do before you die????? The top three things I'd let slip out a hole in my bucket are -

    Bungee jumping.
Parachuting - whether out of a perfectly good airplane or off a cliff or bridge.
Walk or ride down the Grand Canyon.

I'm perfectly happy with the way my life is going and I don't like heights - probably died in a fall in a previous life.
    BEF fully funded

    Debt Reduction -

    Orchard - $0.00
Citi card - $9116 >>>0!!!<<<- closed to ME!!!!

    Advanta card - $6746 >>0<<- yes,yes, yes!!!

    Repoed van - $150/month for eternity - OK, not quite - $10,997.44
    mortgage - 63873

I'm with you on the jumping out of a perfectly good airplane...um, no.

Before I die, I'd rather not....

    1) Have children
    2) Ever attend school again
    3) Ever attend another one of my husband's work parties
    4) Smell canned tuna

I'll stop there, since I figured the bug eating was a given.

I'll go along with the bungee jumping too.

See another spider in my house....but don't think this will happen!
Think I killed a Hobo spider about a week ago, but by the time I got done with it I couldn't identify it for sure!!

Ever eat cooked tuna again........I can do the tuna sandwiches.......cold!

~No jumping out of an Airplane. If I went out the door, it would be because someone pushed me. In that case, they would be going with me.

    ~No bungee jumping

~No holding any type of poisonous snakes or any type of animal that has the desire to "get me".

There's very little else that comes to mind that I would hate more than (A) being in a reality TV show and (B) eating any living - or just generally gross - items of food.

    My leaky bucket list:

Totally agree about anything to do with heights: jumping out of a plane, bungee jumping, and any extreme sport type activities. However I do want to go on a hot-air balloon ride.

I do not ever want to have to have communication with my ex again. Ever. As in, our youngest turns 18 in September of this year and I am so, so, done with him. (yes, I know, this is probably not going to come true)

I do not want to be on any reality shows or recognized for any awards. I want to live out my life anonymously and safe from hooplah such as that. (I shake really badly when put on a spotlight)

I do not want to learn another language. My oldest LOVES languages, she didn't get it from me though. *shrug*

I do not necessarily want to travel outside of the U.S.A. I love it here, I know everyone preaches "oh you gotta...you gotta go see how other countries live..." but I don't want to, at least not yet! I love it here and I want to see all of our states. Maybe after I do that, but even then I just don't have the craving to go outside of the U.S.

Great topic, I am enjoying reading other's responses!

My presumption is we are not including the obvious. If so, "get shot" is right up there at the top.

Three things I would rather not do before I die:

    - butcher an animal (yes, I eat meat and I'm a hypocrite)
    - deep sea diving (I feel about being underwater the way many of you feel about heights)
    - ever move back into an apartment, condo, or anything with shared walls.

I am terrified of heights - nightwares about them, bizarre physical sensations when up high or even thinking about heights (not quite pain, but very uncomfortable). BUT, I did ride down into the Grand Canyon on a mule. The height of the mule itself terrified me. Perched on that thing while going down a narrow trail on a steep slope was probably the most extreme terror I have ever felt.

I would never want to parachute or bungee jump - I hate the feeling of falling, can't even stand going down a slide. I would probably die of a cardiac arrest on the way down.

madhen, I'm just as terrified of the water as I am of the sky.

I have a friend who stepped out onto the glass floor of the Sear's Tower observation deck and had someone else take a pic of him standing there. Just IMAGINING him standing on that invisible floor, over 100 floors up, gives me the willies!!

    This thread is too funny!

I too am afraid of heights!!! No bungie-jumping, parachuting for me ....ever!

    No eating gross bugs.

I also would never want to go on a cruise ship. Don't like being in a boat on deep water. A canoe is fine on a little lake but not the ocean!
