* I would like to establish a system for using the food in our deep freeze and pantry so that it does not get pushed to the back/bottom and end up old and gross!
* I would like to get back on track with planning my 2 week menus.
* I would like to get back into my fitness routine - walking 4 miles daily and lifting weights 3 times weekly.
* I would like to have regular monthly communication with long-distance friends - phone, mail, or e-mail is fine!
* I would really like to go 3 months without using any CC for purchases. We have paid off our credit debt and I want to keep it that way!!
I am sure I have more goals, but I need to start here and be reasonable or I will give up.

Well here goes
Mainly I want to get motivated to make the changes in my life that I know I need to. These are:
Start to eat healthy with more veggies and fruits and no junk
Exercise at least 4 times a week
Take my medications every day as prescribed and get the medical and dental work done that I need to. No more excuses about that!!
Pay more on my debts and not make any more debt
Spend less on grocery shopping and use up leftovers instead of throwing them out. I waste way too much!!
Gain a more positive attitude and try to be a gentler, kinder person.
Work on counting my blessings and being content with what I have.
Those should take some time and effort...

Vacation fund - Boston 100/0
Time Goals
Home Project Organizational Challenge - Pantry cleaned out and organized

Every little tiny bit helps to get rid of that debt

All Right, I know I am late getting in this club, but this is a great idea, and I would like to be a part. I certainly have some new goals for this year and the following year.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are filing bankruptcy. Credit cards and other such debts are not the problem. We paid those off a couple years ago. The problem is medical bills and a repo'ed car. The company will sue us if we don't get it taken care of now.
Anyway, after we file, we want to move on and rebuild our credit.
Goals:
Purchase a house (with a healthy down payment) within the next 2 years.
Adopt 2 children through the foster care program in in AR.
Learn to feed my family natural and healthy foods.
Be a better (nicer) wife to my DH, who is wonderful to me.
This year has been a real struggle for me. DH will be joining the National Guard, and will be going to boot camp soon, we are filing bankruptcy, and so on. However, I am very blessed to have a roof of my head, food, water, and a husband that loves me. Life is still good.

I had a long list of things I want to accomplish but I know I can't work on all of it at once. So I've narrowed it down, if I could do these I would be so happy!
*Stop procrastinating and start doing
*Work on my attitude
*Declutter and organize my kitchen
*Streamline meal time
*Find a better way to deal with paper, bills, mail etc
*Take better care of me

1. I want to increase our stockpile.
2. I want to get better at sewing.
3. I want to get rid of stuff I don't need and make money at the same time (Ebay).
4. I need to learn to organize my schedule better.
5. I want to phase out convenience foods to only times when we are traveling and can't get anything else or we go out to eat as a family for a special occassion.
I'm sure there will be more, but those are the top ones right now.

1. Spend less at grocery store
2. Start EF - even if it's small
3. Find a job out of state
4. Snack less, or at the very least healthier

My ultimate goal this year is to pay out the mortgage early. I'm hoping this will happen by the end of July. In order to do that, I'm:
~ decreasing the grocery bill to $200cdn/mth. for 3 adults. That will include OAMC, using the pantry principle, shopping sales, stockpiling, cooking more from scratch, menu planning and using the crockpot more.
~ decreasing recreation/entertainment/dining out. Dh and I have decided the funds for these can come from our personal allowances instead.
~ eliminating the gifts category in our budget. Instead we will make gifts or pull them from our personal allowances.
~ decrease miscellaneous. This category has really got out of control.
~ decrease utilities. This means shutting doors, turning off lights, hang drying clothes, turning down the temperature, etc.
~ increase the emergency fund. We're more than doubling the amount we're putting aside, with the idea we'll pay out the mortgage when it builds up to more than we owe.
~ scrapbooking. I am SOOOOO behind in this. I am looking for a computer scrapbooking program to scrapbook dd#1's wedding to send to family and friends via email. I also have other scrapbooks I'd like to do.
~ a fabric book as a momento of dd#1's wedding for me.
~ rughooking. I have 3 partially finished pieces to complete. I'd like to do some pieces for gifts and sale as well.
~ hardanger. I started a hardanger course last fall, but the instructor became very sick and couldn't continue teaching. I have 2 pieces partly done. My immediate January goal is to finish one of them. My February goal is to finish the second one.
~ Quilting. I have 4 quilts that need to be finished this year. This is high priority. I want them off my sewing unit and onto my beds! I also want to try crazy quilting this year.
~ Knitting. For gifts and myself. Sweaters and dishcloths...and perhaps scarves for the neices and nephews.
~ a windowsill herb garden. I'm getting tired of the prices you have to pay for spices these days.
~ sewing. I have a stash of fabric I've collected over 25 years and I want to sew it up.
~ writing. I have a manuscript ready to be published. One final edit by a teacher friend and then I am going to publish it. I have a lady who wants to distribute it.
~ read my Bible regularly.
~ do regular Bible study.
~ find a church the whole family can attend.
~ tithe on a regular basis.
~ exercise 60 minutes a day.
~ lose 20 lbs.
That's a lot, but I think I can do it. I'm going to make a mind map of it and post it on the wall. That way I can be reminded daily and check things off as they're accomplished. I did this last year and found I accomplished over half my goals, despite the wedding interfering with them.
