Dreaming out loud
I have always had a dream to be a crafter for money. It isn't really something that I think about getting rich off of although since this is the dream forum, that would be nice. I am very flattered when people think enough of the things I make to actually spend their hard earned money on, and it keeps me busy and in enough money to buy more supplies.
I have alwys dreamed and thought that I would love and be good at window painting. You know like on stores for sales and at holiday time especially. It is something I never pursued because I didn't know where to start.
I guess it is not news to anyone also that I am dreaming of being a teacher with my own classroom. I do consider myself now a teacher in every sense of the word and daily I saet out to teach and impart knowledge, I know I succeed much of the time. I am just dreaming of the day when it is MY classroom that I am standing in front of. This dream is not far off now for me and that is so exciting.

You can do it. I used to do craft shows.
I really enjoyed it. You've got the talent. It's just making the time to do it and going after it. I started with smaller highschool craft shows in the beginning. I also had a booth in a craft mall and then moved onto larger shows. It is work setting up and tearing down, but it was a great time too.
I started by joining the national craft association too. They provided local craft shows in my area. Your local chamber of commerce can help you with upcoming shows too.
You can register for a dba and get a tax id very easily and then just report your sales quarterly. You can do this on your terms and in your spare time.
As far as teaching goes, you are doing awesome! Your own classroom will come to you soon. You've earned it!
With the painting on windows. Give a call. call them up and ask who paints them and if they would be interested. I think locally here our smaller grocery stores use students. If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. Robin go for it. You can be a crafter.
Today I was able to get a free magazine. A country doctor who doctored both in Sask. and Mb. retired a few years ago, moved to a tiny town of about 10 and is now painting pictures of old train stations. His paintings are now all over the world.
The article talked about even when he was doctoring he never gave up his dream of painting and although he didn't paint as much as he wanted to while being a doctor, he is making up for it now.
As to teaching, your there.

As for being a teacher, your dream is coming true!! It is just a matter of time before that dream of having your own classroom is a reality.~*Michelle*~

Robin, I was telling Rhonda that I am on a mission to do more bold things. I became so conservative when I married and had kids. I figure it's time for me to start going after some things and just being more bold. Now, I'm just going to aim for being more bold about the things that work toward what I want for myself. What's the worse that can happen? Someone says err no thanks? But what if they say yes?! It's awesome!
We're all here to support and encourage you. Make a few phone calls when you have some free time for more information.
