Default GG Club - September 2006 Goals

Tee hee - I know I was all blah about August goals but now I seem to be really uppity about September's goals and I really hope no one minds me posting so soon - its only 3 days away though! (and Im not sure if I'll be around to post for the beginning of the month with last minute vacation preparations going on)

    My goals for September are:

#1 - PAY OFF ALL DEBT! Will need bf's help for this as its all his debt under my name for CC #1. (hope to be rid of his by end of Sept)

#2 - WILL NOT USE CC #2 Need to pay it off and hide it. I have been on a spending spree lately and it MUST stop. But now I will be comfortable all fall season long at home, doing FREE things

#3 - WILL NOT GO INTO OVERDRAFT!!!! Evil thing!

#4 - READ ONE NOVEL FOR PLEASURE I didnt do this in August, and things went chaotic. If I force myself to spend QT with myself things will be alright, and I will remain calm.

#5 - FINISH ORGANIZING my home. The junk nook needs to get purged and the junk desk in my office area too.

#6 - START PLANNING CHRISTMAS gift ideas, card list, budget and physically put money aside so I can pay CASH when the time comes

#7 - PUT MONEY ASIDE FOR LONG WKND IN OCTOBER/MINI VACATION. Im going to take in early October to visit friends that I seem to have matchmade and they got married. Its also their birthdays. PARTY!!!!

#8 - EXERCISE Anything would be a good start. I keep putting this one off but now its time to buck up and hop on the bandwagon! Holiday buffet season is just around the corner!

#9 - WHEN ON VACATION Try not to spend excess money. Some shopping is expected but not overboard. In the past, I couldnt resist, now I must try

#10 - BE HAPPY & HEALTHY WITH MYSELF This is a goal I'd really love to achieve.

Lots of goals, so little time....time to saddle up or mosey on back into the ranch

    3. Drink more water.
    4. Spend less money on non-esstentials.
    5. Organize my office.
    6. Save as much money as possible!!!

    Oh boy, here we go!!!

    1. Purge my closet of clothes that don't fit anymore. I lost a lot of weight and I still have a lot of my bigger clothes, so I should get rid of some of them.

    2. Lose another 5 lbs. I won't have achieved it this past month, but I think I'll be going into Sept. at about 149. So if I could be down to 144 by end of Sept., I would be thrilled.

    3. Get the ball rolling on my divorce! It's time to get started. I have to call my lawyer in about two weeks and get her started on my divorce settlement. This is going to be a tough, trying time for me, so hopefully I will be able to rely on my mom and brother and to help me through this one.

    4. Have at least 12 blocks done on my brother's Christmas quilt. So far I have two.

I'm sure I'll have more to add over time!

I'm in! This is what I have so far:

Use my dehydrator at least 3 times
Use coupons (I seldom do this, time for a change)
    Continue to stockpile my pantry
    Pay $100 on GSL
    Pay off 1 CC
Disconnect my land phone. It is very expensive here. We do not have a big carrier and we have adequate cell phones. My land phone is not necessary.
Exercise more (missed my August goal completely)
    Increase my walking
Walk the entire property at least twice
    Read more about frugality

    Here are mine:

    1) Get CC#2 paid off and get CC #3 down to just a few hundred dollars.
    2) $100 to EF.
    3) Keep the house clean. I've been on vacation this week and I've been getting the house spotless, so I'd like to try to keep it that way.
    4) Paint the living room.
    5) Smoke only 5 cigarettes a day. I'm down to between 7-10 now.
    6) Stick to budget. September will only be our third month on any kind of budget at all, so we're still getting used to it and working out the kinks.
    7) 10 no spend days.
    8) Make $100 through Ebay and/or mystery shopping.

Okay, I totally sucked at August goals so some of these might be a repeat....here goes:

    1. I have got to get my eating under control! I have gained too much weight and I have go to get it off. My goal is to lose 10lbs. in September.

    2. Keep my grocery budget at $250.

    3. I did not read a book in August. So, I will read one book for pleasure in September.

    4. Budget myself $10 each pay period for "pocket" money to keep unneccesary spending under control.

    5. I will go to the gym at a MINIMUM of once a week. I have a membership that I pay for each month, and I don't even go! That is ridiculous!

    6. I have to start planning for Christmas! Last's months goal was to buy a small gift for each person on my list. This month's goal is the same, keeping the gift at $10 or below.

    7. Try at least four new HEALTHY recipes this month. That is one a week.

    8. Beginning the first week of September, I will plan my dinner menus out weekly.

    9. Keep a positive attitude!! You can do this!!

    10. Get more sleep. My hours have changed at work and I have to get up earlier, but I haven't been going to bed earlier...that's not good.

    11. I have NOT cut my hair!! I will continue to let it grow out.

    12. I must keep on a regimen with my vitamins and B-12 DAILY!!

Jumping in on this one. Maybe if I post these, I will actuall do them.

    1. Drink more water
    2. Try to get some exercise
    3. Start working on losing weight, a 5# loss for the month would be nice.
    4. Stay away from sweets.
    5. Absolutely do not use our 2 biggest CC's
    6. Start paying off our smallest CC.
    7. Add to our EF.

Great goals ladies! Here's a tip that I've done to motivate myself this month, PRINT your goals up and stick them on the fridge, on the cupboard, bathroom mirror and by your desk where the comp is. It will so be in your face that you have no choice BUT to see them and each time you do them you run around crossing off that one task off EACH list. Now THATS satisfaction!
