I'm sooo hoping that April will be better than March. The entire month of March has been a disaster for us. Mainly due to me being sick, and incredibly tired due to the pregnancy. I really want to get back on track.
My April Goals:
1. Stick to budget
2. Put at least $20 + minimum payment towards Gap card
3. Dejunk some stuff, to clear out the new baby's room
4. NO unplanned purchases
5. Cut eating out down to once a week
6. Track our spending
7. Spend no more than $100 per week on groceries, cleaning supplies, etc
8. Get organized again!
9. Reduce some of our bills (definitely phone bill)

I don't usually do these month goals, but here goes -- only two for April
1. Some pretty hard braking on the day to day budget to balance the splurge of making a big work center for quilting and other projects (Next week! Yippee! Hooray!! Can't wait!)
2. I was diagnosed with diabetes back in the summer, and my doctor said to ignore it until I got through my chemo (talk about a double whammy!) I did that in December, but have been too exhausted to deal with anything else. But the time has come. She said I was one of her "educated patients" and left it completely up to me to read and figure out what diabetic eating plan would work best for me. I've done that, but now I have to really tackle working out menus. It is going to be very time consuming and hideously boring, but I have to do it -- if only because I see her again late in the month and it will be too embarrassing to say, "Well, uh, no, it's like this...."

1. Pack everything. Leaving out only bare necessities for the first two weeks of May.
2. Use up the food in the cupboards. Not a lot, but I don't want too much excess at the end of the month.
3. Finish buying souvenirs and items to sell when we return. And not spend a fortune.

I'm not doing so well with the monthly goals. So this month I only have 2:
1. Take my iron supplement EVERY DAY!!! I can barely move, I'm so tired.
2. Spring clean the kitchen (should be possible after a few weeks of goal #1).

My March goals were WAY too lofty, and I didn't realize how absolutely tired and uncomfortable I'd be in the last trimester of pregnancy, so it's time to be a little less lofty this month, in my last month of pregnancy.
April 2007 Goals
1. Spend $400 or less on groceries (including toiletries, cleaning supplies, and pet supplies).
2. Eat out 10 days or less.
3. Put $40 into the EF.
4. Put $800 in savings.
5. Update the baby book.
6. Finish getting all baby gear and supplies, trading in unwanted baby shower items for store credit etc.
7. Get birthdays on the calendar (finally!).
8. Buy two Christmas presents.
9. Get caught up on birthdays.
10. Get Mother's Day and Father's Day presents put aside (will be too hectic around the time that the actual holidays fall).

Well, here are mine for the month.
1. Look for a new job. Check the ads every day. Send out resumes, and applications.
2. Lose 5 lbs. Walk on treadmill every single day for at least 30 minutes.
3. Be more frugal with spending. Start using coupons and shopping only specials. Take my lunch to work.
4. Get rid of at least 30 things in the garage.
5. Keep the kitchen clean every day.
Five is all I can handle right now, with the stress I have going on at work.
