    Default What Are Your 2008 Goals?

    I know its early but I have been thinking back on this year with all its up's and down's and how I'd like the next one to be different.

    * To be/stay DEBT FREE

    * To keep myself healthy: less colds, eat less, weigh less

    * Beef up the EF and actually fund the Vacation Fund

    * To be happy overall on everything

    My list may not be very different from last years but its the things in between that make the year unique. Simple goals, lets see if I can do this! Just need patience.

    I have to think of more, but I have already come up with a few that will be on my goals for 2008:

    1. Join a gym and go 3x or more per week. (Our new insurance for 2008 gives us $300/yr towards gym costs.)

    2. Watch portion sizes at meals and add more veggies and fruits to my diet. Limit junk food consumption. Drink 8+ glasses of water each day.

    3. De-clutter and simplify more (junk/unused items out of the house).

    4. Spend quality time with family and friends.

    5. Save for the irregular expenses throughout the year.

    6. Apply 300+ each month towards the CC debt.

    7. Use the envelope system and write down where the money goes. When the envelopes are empty the money is gone until the next pay period.

    My goal is simple, but pretty big: Only spend money on what I need, not what I want, and put every spare cent possible towards reducing debt. Wish me luck I'm hoping to see the debt numbers really drop in 2008!
