    Arrow May 2008 Goals

Can you feel it? Its almost summer!

For the month of May, I am planning on doing the usual as well as a few new things:

    * try to declutter more and purge everything (means I have better chances of getting to repaint a few rooms)
    * put $500 into savings
    * exercise more consistently (meaning gazelle/walk/get out more often - not just swimming twice a week)
    * stop eating out so much and make better meal choices
    * track all spending for the month of May
    * try to finish reading my book PS I LOVE YOU - Cecelia Ahern

So, share with us....what are your goals for the month of May?

My goals are staying pretty much the same. I am trying to do better at the no eat out challenge, paying snowball quicker, getting more organized and trying to work out every day. The biggest thing is I am limiting tv and reading more. I love to read!
    Live - Laugh - Love

    2013 Goals:

    1. Build up EF.
    2. Lose weight.
    3. Stay within my monthly budget.
    4. Continue paying down debt.

my goals are also pretty much the same.. continue paying off all cc debts and paying extra on mortage and car loan.

To do this we are watching what we spend and thinking first... I am staying away from garage sales unless there is a need for something.

I AM ALSO CONTINUING TO DECLUTER We are working on finishing our kitchen luckily it is just time for now not money we built our own cabinets and still have the doors to make so we will have some more wood cost in the near future.

So I guess my May goal is to finish projects already started.

For May I had big long list of Things to accomplish this month.

    Finished most!

**One big one was to spring clean the house, every drawer, every closet. Just one closet left.

**Clean out garage and wash all outdoor toys. Will get big bucket of water and soap for kids to do on Thurs, Fri.

**Get back fence fixed. Done! Get wiper and taillight on car fixed. Done!

**Save $1000. Working on this. I paid extra on few bills so may not make this one.

**Stay under $200 in grocery budget but stock up some. Working on this. $75 used so far, stocked canned goods.

**WRITE DOWN ALL PURCHASES!! This i am working hard to do!

I've just joined the site, and have yet to sit down and get specific goals written up, but I'm doing that today...so here are the general goals for May.

    -Declutter house-different part each week.
-write and get specific with goals and means of achieving them.
-do up a budget, track all spending, work on paying off debt.
    -exercise 5 times a week.

    Arrow End Of May Update

For the month of May, I am planning on doing the usual as well as a few new things:

    * try to declutter more and purge everything (means I have better chances of getting to repaint a few rooms) <<< I've purged quite a bit but I don't think you can really tell the difference

    * put $500 into savings <<< Life happened....I spent money this month and was not able to save anything.

    * exercise more consistently (meaning gazelle/walk/get out more often - not just swimming twice a week) <<< I have been a bit more active but its still worked out to about 2-3 times a week, at least I didnt stop moving!

    * stop eating out so much and make better meal choices <<< This has been hard to do but I have been finding that I have gone to buy the groceries to make knock off versions of the junk food that I've wanted and mostly I craved decent home cooked healthy foods and snacks this time

    * track all spending for the month of May <<< Since I have done this, my eyes have opened to exactly WHERE my $$ has been going and which method it leaves my bank account. My faults are gas and groceries/eating out. I'm afraid to do the month end tally.

    * try to finish reading my book PS I LOVE YOU - Cecelia Ahern <<< Let me just say, I LOVE THIS BOOK! I was so excited that I burned through the book in about 2 weeks and then rented the movie with the mindset that it was a movie version of the book. Um no. Then I was sad. As an adaptation based on the novel its still a good movie but I'd have preferred the book version on screen.

How did everyone else do for the month of May??? I know some of my May goals will be carried over to June.
