    Default Local Environmental/Go Green Groups

Just curious if any of you attend a green group in your area? If not, would you ever consider forming one?

~Green Group? Well, yes and no. I volunteer with an Environmental Conservation group whenever I can. What would a green group do?~

No such thing here in small town Kansas. I'd love to hear more, however.

I don't have a group like this in the city that I live in, but there is a green group that isn't too far from me. I think I may go look at their group just to see what all they are doing. I do believe one of their main goal is to just raise community awareness about environmental issues.
I was also doing a search and ran across this site http://www.enviromom.com/ , which I thought seem kind of interesting. I just quickly looked over the site, but I definitely plan to go back and read more. Anyways, I'm not sure if it's just a glorified playgroup or what. I'm also not in the Portland area, so I can just go pop in a see. I really enjoy exchange ideas here at FV, but I thought it would be neat to connect with others in my area. I posted this thread just to see if any of you where involved locally or how to see how to start a group.

There was one thing that really caught my eye and that was one garbage can a month challenge. I would love to be able to take on that challenge and it's definitely something to strive for.

I would love to join a group, but I don't know if there is one here. I'll have to check into that!
