? about your curbside recycling
I just found out that our curbside recycling doesn't take shredded paper. Is this common? Are your services the same way???? I feel so guilty now when I shred something even if it's just a little paper with my name, etc.

I'd keep on shredding personal info and not feel guilty.
Just do your best with the rest.
We don't have curbside pick up but the place we bring it to does newspapers, magazines, plastic, tin & glass.~*Darlene*~

Ours does not take shredded paper either. However, the humane society takes it. So we donate all of the shredded stuff to them.

Ours takes shredded paper, I just put it in a brown paper bag with the rest of our paper recycling. They sent out a flyer about a month ago and I was suprised to see shredded paper on the list because they didn't used to take it.

Normally, even if it is "banned" they will take it if it is contained. DH is a residential recycler, and he said the reason for it is, is that on a windy day, it become litter instead of recycling!
He said, just keep it contained and they probably will have no problem taking it!
