Need help? - another question about shoe recycling

Yesterday i kicked those old leather boots out of my clean home:

It seems gross to me to donate such stuff. Full leather, no zippers and only the soles and heels are plastic. Are they worthless gross garbage or can i toss them into the recycling bin?

It may seem gross to donate, but there are always people out there who need shoes and clothes, regardless. I would donate them to the goodwill, or make a post on freecycle.

I would say donate them too. You never know who could use them.

Hi,

I volunteer at a charity shop, I don't know if it's the same in the US as it is here but any shoes or clothing not in a good enough state to sell we sell on to a rag recycling company. So your boots might end up as something else or they migh be sent to another country to be worn by someone who needs them.

Alternatively, I do know someone who puts their old leather shoes onto their compost heap... but they are very eccentric, lol.
