Default Does Anyone Have A Wind Turbine?

We live in an all electric house, plus we have 13 & a half acres all on the top of a hill, so I am interested.

We don't have a wind turbine since we are passive solar. But I'll be interested in reading any responses to this. If you don't get many responses here, you might check out Mother Earth News.

I don't have one. I read about having a personal one in my Mother Earth News....the article came out maybe 2 years ago. I remember it said that a personal turbine pays for itself after 10 years

I want one so badly. We, too, are all electric and want to attach it to our barn. We have room for solar panels on the roof of the barn as well. Something to look into in 2009....

How loud are the wind turbines? We were looking at the ones they sell at Canadian tire. Our city currently allows wind turbines that are 1/2 the hight of your lot size so we could have a 20 ft tall turbine on our 40 ft wide lot.
