Loved this story...
http://www.comcast.net/data/fan/html...an/default.xml
This guy saved all of his trash for a year, to remind himself just how much garbage he was creating. Amazingly, among all the junk that he has saved in his basebement, almost all of it was recyclable. He created only 60 pounds of trash for the year!
He recycled his food scraps between his dogs, rats (pets, not free-roaming) and a worm farm!
He takes his own bags when he shops and he even takes his own containers when for the butcher or deli counter to put things directly into them! I wish they had gone into his story a little bit more, but it's still kind of neat to see!

I would have loved to see that story.
Do you happen to know the name of it? The link took me to a story about the Georgia Senate race

That is weird! When I click the link it takes me to the comcast fan, and the trash story is the first video that comes up. Let me see if I can find another way to link it!

I found it on the comcast by searching Man saves trash for a year. The title I believe.
I think the bowl he carried with him to work is so cool.
Thanks for posting this story

I thought that he had creative ways to reduce his trash and not bring anymore into his house...reusable bags and containers at the grocery store.

I saw a similar program on the "Green" channel. Not the same guy, but he did the same thing too. Very interesting stuff.
