Green skin care products.....
Think about it. Our skin is our largest organ. We spend lots of time thinking about what we are putting in our bodies via our mouth, but do we spend much time thinking about what we put in our body via our skin? Actually, I'm hoping this is not a new thought to any of us.
I was hoping we could share some of our favourite items or products that have become favourites......
I love Arbonne makeup. (Unfortunately), it's one of those MLM compaines, but I love the stuff! It's a vegan line and very eco-concious. But it's pricey, to say the least. So I use some Burts Bees and JASON'S items too.
AVEDA is a pretty great all around company too, IMHO. Some of the ingredient lists are a bit long, but overall, they are a great company and make great commitments to our health and the environment. They are GMO-free across the board, they are non-petroleum based, and are a "wind power" company. (no, I don't work for them, just a fan!)
ok - what are your "go-to" products of choice?

I use Kiss My Face products, and sometimes Burt's Bees. I started using them after I had cancer, in my quest to avoid a lot of chemicals.

Lacura from Aldi is pretty darn green. I love Kiss My Face products and their Olive Oil face soap.
I used to work with Aveda products in the salon before they came out with a skin care line. Great company!
Yeah...J/A/S/O/N products are my favorite.
there is tons more..just can't think right now.
There is several companies that have many green products and working towards that.. not only that but I try to buy cruelty free/not tested on animals and no animal products in them.
that could be a whole other thread.

Aveda
I would say although Aveda is kind of pricey, I love the company. I used to work on their property for managment of grounds and they have lots of acres of restored prairies and wetlands which in the long run is better for their wallet and environment. They also have vegetable gardens on their grounds too for the cafeteria.
