Anyone ever use Soap nuts?
Just discovered soap nuts. I want to give them a try but was wondering if anyone was used or heard of these.

Hubby stumbled on them while looking for a place to buy bulk nuts. He estimated the cost would be 10cents a load so that's fair enough.

I used them! They're pretty good, less gunky build up in a front loading washing machine too!
You have to boil them in water. sort of simmer them, and the saponin leaches out into the water. Place new liquid soap into a container and use as recommended.
To be honest, they were more expensive than just buying soap on sale because of the shipping, so I only tried it the once. Oh, and don't let the new soap get too cold it goes oddly thick. It was in my basement this winter.

This is the first I've seen or heard of them. Looks interesting, but not sure I'd want to switch from my homemade laundry detergent...it's saved us a small fortune!
