Question Are you charged for garbage pickup?

Here we aren't.    You just put the garbage out on the 2 days they have and everything is picked up.     Winnipeg is looking at charging so much per bag which made me wonder if any of you are charged per bag.     And if you are, how many bags do you put out each week?

We are charged by the size of the container, and they give/loan you the container. And they pick up the recycling, glass, paper, plastic. Our container holds aprox. 3-4 full tall kitchen bags. And for 2 mo. service it costs 17.10 for the container and 10.00 for the recycleing(yes we pay them to pick up the recycleing) then tax and some sort of fee for a total of 34.00 bucks for 2 mo.

That is part of the reason we recycle our own cans, so we can use that $ to off set part of the gabage bill. Of course we have now cut down on our soda drinking so that has gone down too.

No. We live in city limits and it's part of paying taxes. It includes trash, leaf pickup, street sweeping, recycled items, and heavy item and large brush days.

We pay $1.50 per bag. I probably have a bag a week. We get the sticker at the municipal office or village stores. If you take a load to the dump you pay so much per pound.

No garbage pick up is available in the boonies where we live. We take it to the green boxes that the county puts out. For large items you have to take them to the dump and pay a fee.

We pay $50 a quarter. We are allowed I think 6 cans and they take yard waste and also our coal ashes. We only have pick up one day a week.

We pay about $20 a month for garbage and recycling costs. It makes me mad that we have to pay for recyling when our town actually makes money on this!!!
