Default Good source for washing soda, etc, online

Does anyone have a good source for washing soda and other laundry soap supplies online? I can't find it locally even at the healthfood stores. All I can find is the premade detergent at $8 for a small bottle. I can't afford that honestly with a couple loads a day. I want to try to making my own laundry soap, both for environmental as well as economal reasons. Borax is easy to locate for me.

Also, does anyone have a retailer of essential oils they highly recommend? I have a few but want to try others. I'm very slowly switching our housecleaning supplies to homemade eco friendly so would love sources from the pros at this, and tips. :-) We have never used a lot of harsh chemicals because my hands break out, and our son has asthma and eczema, but I want to go a bit further now and see if I can help his skin more. Maybe it won't up but I want to try, and it is better for the earth anyway.

Thanks Quiltermom. I know you can order from the manufacturer but often that is more expensive than other sites that sell items funny enough. I was wondering if anyone had a great source that may have coupons or free shipping, etc. It probably isn't a very popular item though and my local stores just don't have it.

    Thanks.
