the price of organic dry milk powder
Ugh!
Our health food store carries the Organic Valley brand of dry milk powder. They have been unable to even get it since around last August, but now finally have some in stock. I was really counting on being able to use it for cooking and baking thinking that like regular dry milk powder it would be cheaper. Ha! Twelve ounces (which will make 13 cups of liquid) is $6.79 - I can buy a gallon of Organic Valley skim milk (which is 16 cups of milk) for $4.99!
Why is this stuff so unreasonably outrageous???
