    Question Teflon

After the latest news about Teflon products being "likely" carcinogins I'm wondering if there is anyone else out there phasing their nonstick products out? I am. I only have a few stainless steel pots, and I am thinking I should start buying cast iron. Is there anything I should know about these things. I really don't know much about cooking pots.

We are phasing them out as we have the $$ to do so. We are also phasing out plastics - going to stainless and glass.

May I ask what the reasoning is behind phasing out plastics? I'm sure there are reasons that I haven't heard of.

The chemicals can leach out into your food, especially when heated in the microwave..
