    Default Building a house

    We are going to be building a little place for ourself. Our plans Our supplies etc...anyone know of any sites with info about that on it? TIA

    Hi Robwen,
    I guess it depends on what kind of house you want to build. If you want to go with a "green" house you can look at plans on www.motherearthnews.com , you might also try countryside and smallstock journal. If you are not looking for that kind of house you can google house plans and get all kinds of sites with house plans. As for materials, you can google housing materials and get a good start there.

    Congratulations!!!!!!
    We built our home two years ago, this will be our second Christmas in it come December. We got our plans from a local builder who had a lot of great ideas I would never have thought of. Everyone told us to expect to go 20% over budget but we didn"t! Although, my basement still isn't completely finished most of it is done and I still don't have my big deck. Other than that we got exactly what we wanted for the money we could afford.
