2050?? That's 43 years away. Doesn't it seem like we could do better?

Anyway, I'm looking at the site now to see what I can do!

P.S. Have you seen Who Killed the Electric Car?

It seems like we could do much better but I also think 80% is HUGE. Of course Great Britain just signed in a pledge for 60% less emissions. It looks like they're leading the way and hopefully we'll follow suit but then there was that issue of Kyoto. It was very encouraging to see the mayors from many cities step up for that challenge even if the President would not.

Never saw that?? Is it a documentary?? Do you remember when Yugos came out?? I thought we'd all be in itty bitty cars and then out came the GIANT SUVS!

Yeah, Who Killed the Electric Car is a documentary that came out last year. Apparently GM released this fleet of completely electric cars (EV1). They were great and everyone who did get a chance to drive them, loved them (of course most of us probably never knew about them). The documentary was about why after releasing these great cars, GM recalled the cars, smashed them up, tossed them, and returned to gas-guzzlers. I felt pretty sad and angry after watching it.

    Here's more info: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0489037/
