Default Made my own cloth napkins!

I have been wanting cloth napkins, not to impress guests, but just because I hate creating trash. I saw some cloth napkins on clearance at Wal-Mart, but they were still $3.50 for a pair, which I think is pretty pricey. I wandered to the fabric scrap bin and found a 2.5 yard scrap of pale yellow cotton/linen for $1.97. After some time with my sewing machine I now have 10 cloth napkins for about 20 cents each! They are not perfectly square, but their purpose is to wipe up food so I am not concerned. No more disposables, whew!

That's really neat. Not only do you save money but also help the environment. I need to do the same thing.

WTG...I bought bar rags at Walmart. something like 18 for 5$. I have been using them it seems like forever. I know of 4 years. when they go then I'll resort to digging out material and making homemade. I have one roll of papertowels left so when that is gone no more. Tired of paper and the waste of it. Got my grocery cloth bags made. the only thing I havent figured out is how to get paper for my printer without having to buy it.

I had some flour sack towels that I hadn't ever used. They are big, so I was able to cut each towel into 4 napkins.
