    Default Re-usable produce bags!

So I splurged and bought some organic cotton net produce bags:

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000SQUM4K"]Amazon.com: Organic Cotton Net Produce Sack, Medium - Package of 3: Apparel[/ame]

I know they're a little pricey (that price is for a set of 3) and I could probably make some myself, but Christmas and my birthday are about a month and a half apart so I had a bunch of Amazon money and thought I would "splurge."

I was so excited to use them at Wegmans yesterday!

I guess this isn't one of those items where you get a return on your investment (like CFLs), but it feels good not to use and toss all those plastic produce bags anymore!

Yeah definitely. Someone more awesome than me would have made them him/herself, hehe. But with my gift certificate money they were really a gift. A gift of time saved! Whew.

I really want to buy some. I can't spend any money right now though.

Last money I spent was Amazon GC. AND I spent it on things I needed for the business.

I have some similar ones, I love them. I bought mine in a larger quantity and they really weren't terribly expensive, but the person I bought them from doesn't seem to have her website running anymore.

I never really thought about how many plastic bags I was using when going to the grocery store-produce, meat, etc... I love the idea of reusuable produce bags!

We use them too! We bought some from Reusablebags.com. They are cotton muslin drawstring bags. The only thing I don't use them for is lettuce and bunches of herbs--they are usually wet from the sprayers at the grocery store and are hard to get in the bags. The plastic bags are much wider and better for those sorts of things.
