Default What to look for at those post Halloween sales....

I will be out doing my post holiday shopping tomorrow and I thought I would pass along a few tips.....
    I will be looking for.......
sales on candy to use in my Ice Cream Candy Sundae dishes.......
    http://www.usave2day.com/forums/show...t=candy+sundae

and spider web...(this I'll get later very cheap (90% off)
I use it for Santa hair and beard, it also works well for Angel hair....

Look at things for next years costumes....

I have tons of decorations so I won't be looking for much of that....

What will you be looking for ?????????

Candy for Christmas stockings, candles for emergency staples (got a lot last year in halloween themes for 90% off) Costume accessories for DD dress up box. Decorations, for next year. Paper plates, utensils, zip locks and stuff to use for picnics and bar-b-ques and stuff.

I hadn't even thought of going shopping tomorrow (maybe because we don't celebrate Halloween in the traditional sense), but you're right - it will be a great time to go pick up some candy. I just may have to get ds up early in the morning so we can hit Target when the doors open.

This site shows a schedule of the Halloween markdowns at Target... http://www.aliendeals.com/target.htm

    Happy Shopping!!!!!

Lori - I just wanted to add - I saw some bags of spiderweb on 75% off clearance at JoAnn today. I don't know what their markdown schedule is (when it will go to 90% off), but I thought I'd mention that in case you have a JoAnn store near you.

oooh would the spider web stuff be good for like a fake snow effect? I plan on doing up our living room like a winter wonderland (instead of doing a tree with ornaments)

Other than that I plan on looking for costume peices, books, decorations..I got the CUTEST stuffed pumpkin scarecrow last year for about two bucks on the 90% off sale..

    and of course candy

last year I bought costumes for $2.00 and made my nieces costume boxes for xmas. They loved them I took the halloween labels off and put them in a box I had covered in $1.00/yd fabric. I will be looking for things I can use for girls dress up and candles dks got enough candy for an army last night so I think I am okay there for awhile.

I went to Walgreens they had all Halloween 75% off. Well when I got to the register the girl didnt have 75% button and didnt know how to figure %s. Well anyways I got 2 beautiful ceramic pumpkin cookie jars for .99 originally 11.99 LOL Love that 75% off. I got 10 candles originally 8.00 for .50, fake blood .10, I got my grandson a costume with a cd and makeup for 3.00. So all in all I think I did pretty good.
