Halloween Pranks Last Night
HA #6 decided he was too old to go trick or treating w/us, so he had stayed behind to pass out the Halloween toys to the little ghouls that stopped by our house. When the other Houseapes & I finally wrapped up this year's routine, I took #6's place, so he could have a share of the candy that the others had brought home.
I noticed that there was an older kid walking around by himself with a Jason mask on & a long dark wig....suddenly, he was running all over the neighborhood acting crazy & scaring the heck out of the little kids. There was this poor little girl - about 3 yrs old - who was crying hysterically & clinging to her daddy.I felt so bad when she stopped at our house for treats...she didn't want to go anywhere near me b/c I was wearing a pair of big black wings & it scared her more. Her big sister came up to me though, & I gave her extra treats to give to her little sister.
That trick might be funny to the older kids that knew better....but for crying out loud - that was mean.
Anything happen in your neighborhood last night?

All was quiet here. There were about 5 houses within our viewing distance on the street corner that had their porch lights on for giving out treats. We spent more time dragging the fire pit out front and making the fire than we did giving out treats to the two dozen kids walking around.

We just had kids coming back for seconds. They came pretty close to the first time so it wasn't that difficult to remember and tell them "You've already been here."
We did have a few who were trick or treating for sick siblings. Because I recognized most of them, I believed them.
Pretty busy but no pranks otherwise, at least not near us.MissSeetonFan

Nothing here, but the middle school where I work was toilet papered and egged. Each tree (at least 15) had gobs of TP way up high in the branches.

I don't know why those kids thought that hurting someone would be funny.
