Default Who's passing out candy for Halloween?

My dh is SO looking forward to this but it seems trick or treaters have gone steadily down hill. We usually end up with alot leftover!

We don't participate in halloween and leave our porch lights off.

I wish we had Trick or Treaters, but we live so far out in the country, no one ever stops by.

Our lights are off as well, but we still get people coming to the door. It breaks their hearts to hear we don't give out cany. Maybe I should buy a bag this year.

We do "trunk or treating" with our kids at our church....although they are getting older now so I am not sure if we will do it this year. The city has named our neighborhood a "safe" neighborhood so we get many trick or treaters here and we do pass out candy!

We give out treats to anyone comming to our door. Including the adults half the time. lol We used to live in a condo and we would get 100 trick or treaters a night, now a couple of dozen if we are lucky. Oh how I miss living there on Halloween I used to love seeing all the kids and meeting all the neighbors.

We haven't done halloween as long as we've been together (never lived near any kids or we were at work).

I may buy a small bag, but it doesn't much matter, theres a wiring problem with our front porch light and we haven't got it fixed yet so I doubt anyone will come anyways.

in the five years we have lived here we have had as many trick or threaters...combined...a grand total of 5. We live near the top of a rather steep hill. and although it is in the residential area, noone likes to climb it. least of all kids laden with costumes and candy. I get a small bag, but we don't give out until we get home from taking our own kids. We are going to "trunk or treat" at the church this year. I am donating a bag of candy directly for that. I still haven't figured out what the kids are gonna be.

Our front light doesn't work either. It's one of those old-fashioned victorian lamp type deals. Well, we moved in back in late March and noticed it didn't work. My boyfriend wasn't able to fix it, so we've just left it so far. Because of that, we have no way of really letting people know if we'll be handing candy out. Not to mention we don't really have a front door.

So, no candy this year. But next year I hope to hand out some.

We give candy every year. When the kids were smaller we passed over 100 bags and now it's about 40-50 bags of candies....There's alot less houses who give in our street and I think kids don't by by because we are in the middle a cresent and they have to walk further to reach us...and some streets further--all the houses give candy. But personally I don't mind--we save money by buying less candy.
