When I first joined up on this site an issue between hubby & me was him wanting a Wii. Well we did get one, for a fairly decent price too. It is probably the single best thing we have spent money on in a long time. Not only does it keep him & the boy busy, but all of our company now looks forward to playing the Wii which is probably why my house is always soooo busy!

It is an interactive gaming system which is a big plus...my score for golf is -8 and I hate golf...could never see any point in chasing a ball around a field of grass...if ya know what I mean .

I'm trying to talk DH into getting one....I've heard they are starting to use them in occupational therapies for children to help keep them active.

For those of you that have one - are there games appropriate for the younger crowd? My kids are 5 & 2 1/2 - will they be able to use it?

Our kids are 7, 4, and 2. Our 7 and 4 year old are great with it. our 2 year old hasn't shown any interest whatsoever, and I am glad because I think it would be difficult for him to figure out what button to press and when to let go and how to stand, etc.

The rehabilitation hospital my son was treated at is now using Wii therapy to help their patients. I think your 5 years old would do fine, they have quite a few kid games out there now. Your 2 1/2 year old, depends on the kid, my son's gf's little guy was using one at 3 yrs...
