    Question Detox

Has anyone ever used or do you currently use the detox "pads" that you stick to the bottoms of your feet?

Just doing a little research. Thanks.

I have never used them, but I do remember hearing about them on Primetime or 20/20 or one of those shows. They said that they were not detoxing you at all. I remember them saying, the ones who wore them, that they had a hideous smell when they took them off the next morning! I wish I had watched the whole show so I could give you some more information. Hopefully someone else will come along and be of more help!

Hello! Yes, my wonderful hubby ordered these a few months back. Yes, they smelled HORRIBLE by morning time! Did they do anything? Ummm, it was like a placebo for us, I think. I did actually feel pretty great in the morning, but because you think you should feel amazing you do. KWIM? As I stuck that nasty smelling packet on my foot each night, I told my husband we were probably just sticking on little packets of oregano and the company was laughing all the way to the bank.

If it were only that easy...

I've read a lot about those foot pads
    they seem to be placebo
if you're also talking about a liquid diet/ detox
    I would stay away
    they can be dangerous
it's basically starvation + very little nutrients
your body NEEDS calories to function properly
I had actually tried the lemonade detox a few years ago
it was TERRIBLE I only got about 7 days in
the first 4-5 days were so soooo awful, I had SEVERE headaches and vomiting, almost to the point of not being able to drive to work
by day 7 I was SOOO sick with fever etc I was never going to heal without real nutrition

Well good and I am going to say this once.

There is no one that needs a 'detox' What you need is sitting at your hand and calling your name. It is called fiber.

The body works so well with this... Just give it a try... No extra money spent on fad diets.

    Whole foods..!

I 've never heard of detox pads on the feet. And I've been around the block. I'll research it if you want me to.

Fiber is good to move the colon and it's poisons along... but what is meant be a detox is not necessarily a colon cleanse.

People detox at the cellular level.
And the reason you used Lemonade is (despite you thinking it's acidic) it's actually alkalinic. The Alkaline pulls the Acid from the cells into the blood stream to be excreted. Always needs a balance. With all that lemonade, the intestines had a high alkaline level, therefore by virtue of osmosis- the acid is pulled to neutralize it. Since you're not ingesting acidic foods - it takes it from the cell.
Just a note- you can do this with ANY alkanine food stuff.

Based on your symptoms... your detox was working - till you stopped it.
It will make you feel ill- because all the CRAP that was IN the cells is pulled out and put into your bloodstream for excretion. Just like when you have a viral cold. The symptoms will pass when the sheet is out of the system.

    Bleh.

Acid accumulation is a big cause of many illnesses..
obesity = fatty acid just for starters.
When the body decomposes... it is the acid that breaks it down.

Just my twenty cents (inflation is killing me)
