question - passing out feeling
ok for the past couple hrs i've been super hot (ok so it's muggy here), and just recently i've felt really dizzy and super nauseous.
the dizziness comes & goes.
smells of food (went & got pizza for fam & kiddo's friend who's staying over) nearly made me get sick.
right now i'm feeling ok... as long as i dont move about or anything.
i'm fully hydrated, eaten enough today (i'm guessing), didnt exercise today (poo!
) and everything else seems normal.
bp is normal for me.
any other recommendations?
i was thinking a "cold" shower... but afraid to stand up... and dont wanna "pass out" in a cold tub!
thanks everyone.
p.s. - as for the "town nurse"... i have YET to find one... but I am still looking and calling around.

maybe try laying down with a cool rag on your forehead....no chance you might be preggers is there?

LOL! My first thought was prego.
But the town nurse is usually at your town hall.
You NEED to get checked.
And ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

There's no such thing as a town nurse in my area... is it perhaps something specific to new england?
Even though you've eaten today.. have you taken your blood sugar? It could be high or low.
What's your pulse when this happens?
Make an app't to see a doctor. This is happening too frequently.

lol nope i know 100% not prego.

i'm actually laying down on the floor w/the pc now...LOL
I think that's partly why i'm feeling better.
having some bread right now hoping it'll ease the nausea.
i just know once i get up to move i'm gonna get super dizzy.
I called the town hall the other day when you -FN- mentioned it... they said they didnt have anyone there like that. No nurse on call or i think that's what the lady said.

it's been going on too long for that. glucometers are not very expensive...$15 - $20 at Walgreens http://www.walgreens.com/search/sear...lucose+monitor

just curious... did you eat a lot of carbs today? And, have you run your symptoms through the webmd symptom checker? (if not, you should)

I hope you are feeling better soon!

did webmd symptom check
and w/the symptoms i put it, nothing came back w/low blood sugar.

so i dont know.
i dont have any heart condition, no inner ear issues, or low bp.
i just dont know.
if it keeps happening i'll see about getting a ride to urgent care.

well, a glucometer would be cheaper and would let you know if it is low blood sugar.
but, yes, you should get checked out

Just checking on how you are feeling now. Have you decided to get it checked out? Hope you are feeling better!

I dont know what to offer but I hope you feel better. Sounds to me like preggers but you already confirmed your not.
Are you too active? Sometimes when I eat I feel fine until I go on a house cleaning spree, within 30 minutes I am all jittery and nausea's... I usually eat something else, something small to see if that works.... if not I lay down and relax. Plus dont forget lots of fluids.

If its that hot and muggy I would say you need to drink a lot of water.
