    Default Drinks?

    Not really talking alcohol here....I'm just wondering how many of us drink water almost exclusively? I used to be a Dr. Pepper drinkin' fiend (sp?...doesn't look right). If I wasn't drinking Dr. Pepper I was drinking southern sweet tea. I know I drank as many or more calories than I ate in a day's time. I was aware of it but didn't want to change the habit. I finally decided to cut down on the sodas and tea so I would allow myself 1 D.P. and 1 glass of tea a day and drink water the rest of the time. The thing was, I only lost 10 pounds during course of a year from that. I would have thought it would have been more....but nope. Anyway when we committed to a healthier way of eating and living I gave up D.P. and sweet tea, cold turkey. I now drink about 2-3 cups of coffee in the mornings (with 2% milk) and that's it for me for the day. I drink gobs of water....don't even miss D.P. or sweet tea anymore at all. When my mom was in ICU in the hospital I broke down and wanted a D.P.....so I opened it and *bletch*....tasted like cough syrup! I've had one since then when there was no other choice but that's it in over 3 years. I really only ever want water now. Anyone else drink only water 90% of the time?

    Aside from my 2 cups of coffee in the morning, all I drink is water. Sometimes I switch it up and have Crystal Light, but not usually. About once a month I have a diet caffeine free pepsi. I'm not much of a soda drinker.

    I drink 1 cup of in the morning, and drink water most of the time. I do drink diet soda every now and then. Unfortunately I have a horrible sweet tooth, and if anyone else brings Dr. Pepper or into the house, I am in deep trouble.

    I drink a few cups of tea in the morning and then I switch to water. I put either plain or flavored stevia in my water though. When I was pregnant with my first child, water started tasting metallic. It still tastes funny and I can't drink it straight. Adding the stevia makes it where I can tolerate it.

    coffe in the AM, I try to drink lots of water thru out the day.....I usually end up wth a few cans of diet pepsi a week. I used to drink tons and tons of pop, so I am definitley doing lots better.

    I NEED to drink more water. I have a terrible habit of drinking about 3 cans of coke each day! Not only is it bad for me, but I am always thinking about the $$ I'm wasting. I've tried to cut back, but that usually lasts only a couple of days.
    It really is an addiction like smoking or something.
    I need help!!

    Hi,

    DH and I both drink water most of the time. We have tea at breakfast time and will have one or 2 hot drinks throughout the day, but I have a glass of water on the go at all times.

    We very occasionally have other soft drinks in the house - usually if we're having people round and sometimes I'll have something fwhen we're out, but again we take water with us most places. I just think of all the sugar and the calcium being leached from my bones, lol.

    Once upon a time I only drank water and coffee ...unless I was at a bar . Somewhere along the line in the last few years I've picked up the "diet soda" habit. I drink it fairly routinely. This is a move in the wrong direction and I need to reverse it.

    I have one cup of coffee in the morning and drink water and free tea at work. I only drink water at home, unless I'm enjoying a glass of wine or a beer. If we're expecting visitors, I'll make a pitcher of sweet tea.

    I drink Coke a few times a year when I'm in Europe for work. Over there, it comes in glass bottles and is made with sugar instead of HFCS and tastes sooo good!

    I used to drink mostly water all the time. Was never a big soda person. Now I drink unsweetend decaf tea, water, and a glass of homemade lemon/lime aid. Try putting some cinnamon sticks in a pot of water. Boil for about 10 minutes. Then add tea bags. The cinnamon adds sweetness without the calories. Mint leaves in the tea also works.

    I have a couple of cups of coffee in the morning and I drink a big green smoothie a few hours later. Then it is water, water and more water. Love my water!

    i drink hot tea in am and water or iced tea (unsweetened) the rest of the day. I hate soda!

    I have a cup or two of coffee in the morning and then I drink water the rest of the day. Today I had some grape juice with breakfast. Yesterday I made ice tea with dinner, but most of the time I just have tap water.

    I drink my diet coke everyday. Shame shame. I am hooked on the carbination(sp) I wish it could be coffee but it just burns my belly with acid reflex.

    I drink Crystal Light, tea to save money on pop between me and my dh, nothing like a good lemonade drink and water throughout the day. I always have water sitting on the counter that I grab.

    Sometimes I just gotta have something tasty..

    I drink 2 cups of coffee in the morning with a little 1% milk (barely a tablespoon in each cup - I should just stop using it) no sugar. After that I only drink water. Sometimes homemade lemonade when I'm at home. No Soda in my house! I have stopped buying anything with hfcs since last summer and the only time I bought soda in a year was from Whole Foods and it had cane sugar in it. The 6 pack lasted a month with the 3 of us.
    At work, I drink about 48oz water a day, sometimes more, sometimes less.
