Two More Girls Die After Receiving Gardasil Cervical Cancer Vaccination
http://www.naturalnews.com/023419.html
(NaturalNews) The European Medicines Agency (EMEA) has reported that two young women died shortly after receiving Merck's Gardasil, a vaccine against several varieties of human papillomavirus (HPV).
Gardasil and Glaxo SmithKline's Cervarix protect against the two strains of HPV that are responsible for 70 percent of cervical cancer cases. Gardasil also protects against two HPV strains that cause 90 percent of genital warts.
The EMEA did not release the names or ages of the women who died, and said the cause of death was still unknown. It described their deaths as "sudden and unexpected."

OMG how sad! Our Grand-daughter had these shots last year. She did have fever and reddness at the site but is fine.
Those poor people.

Oh no! I have this vaccine and fortunately only had a really itchy arm for a few days after. I'm starting to wonder if there are any side effects that may come up later.

I chose not to get this shot, and I'm kind of glad now!
I feel bad for the families of those girls.

I wouldn't go near that shot. I won't subject my kids to any more vaccinations than they need, to be honest, and that seals my opinion right there.

I feel bad for the families and obviously the girls/young women who died. But, 1.5 million in Europe have been vaccinated according to the article and I would guess way more than that number in the USA. As with any medication or medical procedure there are risks, most unknown, some known and any medication can pose a health risk to someone.
I guess I'm just trying to say that if we stopped all medication because it can kill some of the people who use it...we'd all be up a creek."Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans." John Lennon

How many died from cervical cancer that same day? There is a risk to anything. Even penacillin can kill.

My understanding is that the kind of cervical cancer it protects from is caused from HPV virus, which is a STD. Is that right? If that is the case, I just don't think that the risk of getting cervical cancer from HPV is great enough to risk the unknowns of being vaccinated. IMO.

When I first heard about this vaccination I knew I would not be rushing my daughters in to receive it. I am uncertain of any long term consequence, let alone immediate consequence. As another post stated, the risks do not seem to warrant a vaccination. That is my opinion and I would not want anyone who has received the vaccination to feel bad about their decision. It is a personal choice.
I hope that this is not off topic, but I have been increasingly irritated with the way that new drugs are marketed. I am not talking about this vaccine in particular, but the way the pharma business has gone in general. It seems there is always a new drug being advertised in media. I also feel that if I, are my daughters receive this vaccine, we will basically be a part of a very large drug study.

DD was actually diagnosed with this HPV just a few weeks after her diagnosis of hodgkins lymphoma. I got rid of it for her by starting her on her fresh juicing, orgainc foods and her numerous non synthetic supplements. She went back to have a procedure done for this and it was gone! Keep your immune systems strong and you do not have to worry about getting HPV or anything for that matter.
And when it was time for my other dd's physicals last summer, I declined this for both of them. I also educated them on it's dangers. They both have strong immune systems because they eat whole food diets and take their supplements faithfully. They do not ever want to go through what their big sister had to go through.Last edited by COUNTRYBUMPKIN; 06-12-2008 at 05:08 PM. Reason: Add on
