    just eatting what the food pyramid tells us to eat? i was thinking of doing this but not sure if it would work.

    I looked into it, but it was too much food for me. I would have ended up gaining weight if I ate what they recommended!

    I basically eat more produce now. Really small amount of meat or protein. I try to use it as a guide line. As the drgnfly423 said I also would probably gain weight if I ate everything they said. If you look at it health wise and trying to eliminate processed foods it probably is a good place to start.

    It doesn't work for me. The more carbs I eat, even whole wheat bread and brown rice, the more weight I gain. Eating that way also makes me lethargic. I eat lean protein, vegetables and some fruit. When I eat low carb I'm less hungry so I eat less. I think it depends on the person, but it doesn't work for me. HTH
