High blood pressure and weight loss
After seeing my doctor on Friday, my blood pressure was way HIGH, in fact in the dangerous level. It had never been this high and although I have lost 17 lbs. it hadn't made a difference.
So I am now on different blood pressure pills along with a very restricted weight loss program. I need to get more weight off and to get very serious about this. My dad passed away from a massive brain hemorage due to high blood pressure and I'm not wanting that.
So ladies, all of you who are in a weight loss program. Have you had your blood pressure checked lately. I need to be held responsible for my weight loss so I'm going to need your support.
How have all of you being doing in your weight loss?

I can't stress enough to monitor your blood pressure and keep on top of it, no matter what it takes and to do it under the guidance of a doctor. I've mentioned before my sil also died of a massive brain hemmorage, she had her blood pressure checked and the doc. told her he didn't know why she wasn't already dead. She did get medical help for a while then tried to self medicate with garlic, and it didn't work. She was dead 2 days before her 40th birthday. We buried her on my and dh's 20th anniversary. Do whatever you must to take care of your health, and please closely keep your b/p monitored....Good luck...you can do this and i'll be thinking of you and keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

CJ, I will do this with you as well. My bp is not dangerous, yet, but it is at the high end of normal.
My mom had a stroke and strokes played a part in the deaths of both her sister, so I know I have to watch it.

I posted on another thread, but my b/p is now down to 123/81 and I feel really good (except for my back).
Karla is so right - have your b/p checked regularly! Don't wait until its too late.
