Jojoba Oil for facial moisturizer
I had been having an issue with my face....I had a rash that I think I caused by some harsh soap I was using. Weeellll, I started trying to find the cause by process of elimination. I stumbled across some pure jojoba oil after reading up on it on a natural remedy website. It wasn't expensive so I bought a small bottle to try it as a night time moisturizer. Oh man.....I have to say I am sooooo lovin' the jojoba oil. I put just a little on all over my face after washing it at night and as long as I don't put too much, it absorbs nicely and feels just heavenly. I also use it around my eyes.....my skin feels wonderful, I *think* that the lines around my eyes are looking better

It has no preservatives and will not spoil so when my tiny little bottle gets almost empty I'm gonna get a gallon of the stuff (cheaper in bulk ya know
). Anyone else use it? Have any other useful tips for it?

I think you have to find the oil that suits your skin. Mine is coconut oil. I use it for face, body, and hair sometimes. Very cheap where I get it too. Goes a long way.
All oils (if you can use them) go further and are cheaper than creams/lotions. They also sink in and don't feel sticky (to me).
I agree-- I have used jojoba oil before on my hair/face and it was great for it.______

I actually bought my small bottle at Drug Emporium but later found this link and think I'll probably be buying it here from now on (unless when I go back to D.E. I find that it's cheaper there with the shipping charges figured in
).

Palooka--I get coconut oil from Lavender Lane.com. where I get most of my soapmaking stuff.
It is a 16 oz tub (it's solid at room temp) for $4.00 even. The stores rip you off on most oils as soon as they become 'popular' for cosmetic use.
It goes such a long way, it takes a year to go through it, even though I use it for EVERYTHING. Hair, face, lips, feet, hands, body. I don't have to buy lotion, hair goo, lip balm (i just put some in a little pot that had lip balm in it) etc.
It also cools you for hot flashes when you put a heavy coating on scalp and hair (towel over pillow
) and on your feet also---- before bed. Wash out of hair in the morning. (leaves hair soft and helps with frizzies from humidity, too).
I got less night sweats during menopause when I did this. It's considered a 'cooling oil'.______

I'd love to try something for my face but truth be told, my complexion is so bad that anything covering or absorbing into my pores = bad breakouts. I was using moisturizer for the longest time with SPF15 in it but it got to where I would break out every time I used it. I've since stopped using anything past my face washing routine (I used St Ives Apricot Facial Wash and that's it).

I'm condemned to looking 70 when I'm 40.
