“WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HEALING CANCER , OR AVOIDING CANCER ALLTOGETHER”
My name is Glenn A. Keep, J.P and Lifeline (Aust) trained mentor of 12 years, the founder of Friends With Cancer, a healthy lifestyle and cancer support consultancy, online, or person to person in Pittwater, NSW. Australia .
My focus is on Cancer prevention, recovery, healing and support.
Notice I don’t say cancer cure, because “cure” according to the Oxford Dictionary means method, whereas healing means restoring to health. . . a big difference!
That’s why the current treatment for cancer is all about finding a cure, ( ie the method = developing more drugs )
We should be searching for healing.
Nine years ago I was diagnosed with cancer, and within six months I fully recovered without chemotherapy, radiotherapy or drugs.
Today I am in better health than ever, with no need to rely on any medication whatsoever.
I gained valuable insight from this traumatic, challenging experience, and the truths I learned about healing, and my passion to pass this information on, so you and others can benefit, is the catalyst that brought FWC into being.
I am in awe of the incredible power of the human mind to instruct our immune system to keep us in optimum good health, providing we follow certain principles..
Did you know you are being healed as you read this, that millions of your cells are being replaced, with no conscious effort at all on your part?
An individual cell is awesome. It cannot be seen without a powerful microscope, yet what goes on within it is outstanding. The wisdom of a single cell is said to exceed all the wisdom of the human race to date. Why on earth one would flood these cells with toxic chemicals is beyond me.
There are thousands of components in each cell, DNA, chromosomes, genes, organelles, mitochrondia, enzymes, hormones, amino acids, and thousands of chemicals and compounds too numerous to mention…and no one on this earth can explain what makes an individual cell operate.
This innate intelligence is so infinitely more sophisticated than our thinking minds can grasp, and to think there are a staggering seventy five trillion of these cells with the capacity to work with pinpoint perfection for some 60, 70 , 80 years or more is mind boggling.
Imagine how you would fare, if you consciously set about making sure all your cells, as they wear out, were replaced by healthy ones.
Just as they respond to loving thoughts and positive emotions, like kindness, harmony, forgiveness, gratitude and so on, on a physical level we also know, that oxygen, fresh air, exercise, pure water, clean fresh fruit and vegetables, juices, hygiene, rest, and relaxation affect them, and all add up to one having an energetic, vital body and mind.
Unfortunately, the reverse is true, negativity, fear, the unknown, despair, helplessness, depression, greed and stress…these can alter one’s balance, then add to that, an unhealthy lifestyle, fast foods, burning the candle, overeating, toxicity, overweight, incorrect breathing, and our cells cannot cope.
There are many types of cancer, I believe they spring basically from the same cause, the body is not getting what it needs, (physically and emotionally)…..
…….something is blocking healing, we get out of balance.
Is it little wonder that it rebels, and disease appears?
So, what are some things you must do if are diagnosed with Cancer
Don’t panic, difficult as it maybe for a start, treat it as an event, a happening you can deal with, avoid reacting with any emotion to it or all sorts of thoughts and problems will attach themselves to it.
Then, step back and be in charge, don’t follow the crowd and be in a hurry to get on the medical bandwagon, hold off, until you can think clearly,
The crowd want the quick fix, so they can continue on as before…you know better than that….there is no quick fix, that way only addresses the symptom, masks them, and is temporary.
We become unhealthy, one day at a time, just as, with changes, healing comes, one day at a time …. and it comes from within. It is your body, your life, why not take charge, and get the facts so you can make an informed healthcare choice.
Recovery requires faith and hope, achieved with the correct programming of the mind.
Health begins with the mind, and when you have a passion to be healthy, you will be eager to change what you may be doing or what has happened, that could have caused your cancer. You have to be a health detective!
Don’t get me wrong, there is no blame game here, no guilt trip to be had.
Politically correct critics would have you believe that getting back to basics and taking control yourself for your health, and being realistic about what, deep down, could be the cause, is blaming you for “getting cancer”.
Sure there are outside factors which contribute, overeating, lack of sleep and exercise, junk food, the list is endless….. but we all have free choice, no one forced us into a particular lifestyle.
In my case my wake up call was a toxic body, partly caused by many years of working in a darkroom handling colour photographic chemicals in trays containing formaldehyde, and ferrocyanide. Another factor was the stress of being on call as a freelance photographer. Unrealistic deadlines and so on.
I could blame Kodak, the profession, my clients, etc. but I also could have worn protective gloves and a mask, you know what I mean.
I say forget the blame game, Leave it that behind, and move forward, challenge your illness and make some changes so your own healing mechanism can kick in.
HOW TO STAY HEALTHY AND AVOID CANCER
I remember back to when I was diagnosed with cancer, the effect of the shock, the despair, and how I worried about my family, my career, the expense and the future.
That propelled me into a six month, fulltime study into health and healing, (cancer in particular), what people have learned from it, and what they did to recover.
I saw the power of words in healing, how the mindset “ battle and fight ” makes cancer worse, no one wins a war. I deleted the words “in remission”, a put down when you are healed, it hangs over your head, whereas seeing yourself as a recoverer makes you free.
I learned how to develop a “gut feeling” to do the right thing for my body, and circumstances appeared which guided me to ways which set me on the right path to health.
I found that to be healthy, I had to think and act and be and focus on health, to associate with healthy people and do healthy things.
I was determined to eliminate stress.
It blocks our ability to bring balance to our body. With it comes anxiety and a feeling of helplessness, insecurity and confusion.
Stress releases adrenalin which causes our muscles to become tight, our blood to thicken in case of injury, constant adrenalin surges put us in a permanent state of fear, worry, confusion, and exhaustion, leading to ill health, and in the long term. . . disease.
That’s when I learned that there is a certain way to reach your inner mind, and focus on health, rather than the way it’s currently done, which is to imagine little monsters eating up your cancer. That way keeps you focused on your disease…what you see is what you get.
I discovered the value of “focused meditation”, vastly different than you may have experienced , and what I call “ a better way” . That was the beginning and key factor in my recovery.
Unlike listening to CDs of birdsongs, whales or porpoise calls, or waterfalls, rain or the doubtful blank meditation tapes , ( so called white noise), you put something of yourself into your own particular focused meditation experience.
In other words, you tailor it to your unique self, your needs.
Focused meditation is not passive, you are in charge. It is formulated and purposeful, not vague and hazy.
This was the answer to my return to health. It produced an attitude, a way of thinking, and in purposefully taking control of my own health, using the power of the mind to remove the barriers, I found “a better way” .
I made a vow when I began to search for answers I would share this knowledge, that’s how Friends With Cancer came about.
My goal is to spread the word, get rid of the fear, the confusion about healing, and help as many people as possible who want to be in charge of their life, and with the correct input, programme their mind for health, allowing the awesome power of the self healing human body to “do it’s thing”.
I have summed up the results of my studies for you here, if there is anything I can clarify, please let me know, I’ll be in touch soon.
Kind regards,
Glenn.

This is completely in line with my philosophy of life.
I wish more people would listen.
I think the mentality is this....
"I only live once - I might as well enjoy life. It's no fun to drink veggie juice."
Hmmmmmm
I only have this one body - I might as well live life to the fullest for my entire life. It's no fun to be debilitated or dead."

I am a strong believer in the power of positive, mindful thinking and balanced living. Not sure if that will prevent me from getting cancer, but it sure helps me with the quality of my life! Thanks for sharing the article.

Oh, don´t know what to say. I partly think the same way, but then again, I really don´t.
I had cancer when I was 32 years old. Before that I led a healthy lifestyle, ate a lot of vegetables, took care of myself both physically and mentally. Ofcourse when I got ill, the first thought was, what did I do wrong. But honestly, I don´t think I got this illness because I did something wrong. I was thin and healthy, didn´t drink or smoke, ate healthy food, breastfed my two kids for over three years altogerher, didn´t use any hormonal drugs etc. Still I got breastcancer. I refuse to think it was because of some stress or negative thinking.
I think it is a female thing to blame oneself. It is very common, especially in case of breastcancer, to think that the illness has something to do with your personality. I just think I had bad luck.
It has been almost ten years now since I first got ill. I had surgery (breast taken away along with the lymphnodes in the armpit), five weeks of daily radiotherapy and six months of chemotherapy every three weeks (combination of three different drugs) plus an antiesthrogen medication called Tamofen for five years.
I knew my situation was bad because the cancer had already spred to so many of the lymphnodes. After five year of remission, I had pleural effusion and ofcourse there were cancerous cells in the fluid. I also had a small mass in my side, which was cancer also. So, six months of chemo again. This time a different drug called Taxotere plus Herceptin for as long as it helps, because I am her2 positive, which often is a sign of a more aggressive case of cancer. After three years of Herceptin, the tracers get up a bit. This time my ovaries get removed and I star taking a new antiesthrogen drug called Femar. This is what my life is now. Femar every day and Herceptin every three weeks.
It has been ten years now with this illness. Without medical care, would I still be alive? Probably not. I truly believe in science in this case.
I believe positive thinking is good for you, but I don´t think it can cure you completely. I also agree with the fact that fighting doesn´t help.
I am not going to blame myself for stressing too much. I think cancer is too cruel of a punisment tor stressing.
