Default Family love and medical greed....

    http://www.naturalnews.com/z023663.html

(NaturalNews) For many generations now, we, our families and our doctors have been taught to forget mankind's 6000 year history of preventing and treating illness naturally and to believe that the only real medicine comes in a brown bottle and that the only real healing comes from the medications of big pharma and treatments of mainstream germ theory doctors.

Hmmm....as someone who was administering chemo at my first nursing job many years ago (oncology unit), I am now searching my conscience. Although I didn't order the drugs, and it was all we knew at the time, I did start the IV and begin the drip.......

    sad.

Aww Cheryl, You just had no idea then! You thought it was the thing to do to help others get well. But now you have a powerhouse of information and you keep learning more everyday. I am alway's sharing my information with other's and I have actually made this my mission in life.
So please don't knock yourself out for something you were not aware of. But please do consider sharing what you have now learned to help others heal. HUGS.

The only saving grace in the whole thing was that I DID see people get 'cured' or in remission, and go home. Sickly looking, but home. Chances are, they got the cancer back (although I hope not) and came back to the hospital, but.....

I was 23 at the time, and all about conventional medicine. I haven't thrown conventional med. clear out the window yet. Probably because I have a very forward-thinking doctor who is open to new ideas and thinks 'you know your body best'. He listens and asks questions. I like him and so does dh. He's very cautious about giving drugs.

I have to say, I'm undecided about vaccines and antibiotics, --still, after much reading. At home I walk through an old cemetery that has many children's graves from 180-200 years ago or so. I took some books out from the history dept. at our library once and I could match those graves to kids who died from diptheria and cholera, and tetanus. I don't know...... It's just sad to see families who lost 5 kids to some disease that we now very seldom find anymore. I think of their fear and heartbreak.

I know the pros and cons, but I'm still reading and thinking about all sides of it........

BTW--thank you, though, for trying to calm my guilt about chemo. I realize we're all learning, all the time. I'm not frantic about it, just a little sad that I may have caused harm. Thanks!!

I am also a registered nurse and although I never worked on the hematology/oncology unit or adminstered chemotherapy I was housed in the unit right beside that unit. I noted that the patients did not seem to be getting better and saw the side effects to the patients from chemotherapy which led me to tell all of my love ones that I never want chemotherapy for any reason. I agree that chemotherapy is sooooo hard on the body.
