How are you?
You should get this checked out. My daughter experienced something similar, it lasted for several weeks. Basically, her stomach was paralyzed because of really bad GERD. Medication straightened her out quickly.
There are several things that could cause this... without an exam and more info no one could tell you for sure and some of the possibilities are dangerous.

I hope she is ok too. It sounds to me like it could be a lack of
hydrochloric acid levels in her stomach. This can really cause nausea and GERD . But I hope she has it checked out and comes back and let's us all know how she's doing.
One of the worse things a person can do with GERD is to take antacids that destroy the stomach acid! The acid is there for helping with digestion. Hydrochloric acid tablets and a good complete enzyme supplement will take care of the problem. And your hydrochloric acid levels can be monitored so that you only have to take them when needed. But the enzymes should be taken with every cooked meal.

Not a nurse, but I have had stomach troubles since I was a child. I have been hospitalized with stomach ulcers twice and diagnosed a few other times. I also have GERD, when my stomach is acting up I usually get queasy and anything (even cheerios) can bother it and make it upset. I agree with other posters that you should get it checked out. Of course it could just be a stomach bug, I would say to give it a day or two and see how you feel. Good luck and I hope you are feeling better.
