Default Preparing Pinto Beans on the Raw diet

This is a question for all of you raw dieters. I am interested in going raw but I love Pinto beans. Can they be eaten raw/sprouted without any detremintal health effects? I have read that they can be toxic if eaten raw/sprouted. Or do I need to cook steam/boil the pinto beans before I eat them? If I need to steam/boil them then for how long? Also would they be healthier if I sprouted them and then steamed/boiled them?
    Help!!
Thanks in advance for all of your advice.

I know that kidney beans and buckwheat are unsafe when sprouted due to being toxic. (at least that's what I've read)

Pinto beans I'm not sure about, but I know that if COUNTRYBUMPKIN sees this post, she will likely be able to help you. She is very knowledgeable.

Hi larabelle, Pinto beans can be toxic if they are not cooked. I would suggest soaking them and then cooking them before consuming them.
