100 Smartest Diet Tips Ever
http://health.yahoo.com/weightloss-m...on--19984.html
Lots of good tips in this article. I will not ever be drinking tomato or V8 juice
and I love these mantras--especially #39
35. "The best portion of high-calorie foods is the smallest one. The best portion of vegetables is the largest one. Period."
39. "It's more stressful to continue being fat than to stop overeating."

Hey! Just reading this right now talked me away from a snack! I should force myself to read this entire list whenever I want to binge!
Mom to two crazy boys
and wife to Mr. Wonderful
"A smile starts on the lips, A grin spreads to the eyes, A chuckle comes from the belly; But a good laugh bursts forth from the soul, Overflows, and bubbles all around." --Carolyn Birmingham

This is a great list, I saved it to my favorites. I have been adding lots of fruits and veggies into my diet this summer. Today I had:
1/2 cup Blueberries that I mixed into my oatmeal
Handful of Cherries for a mid morning snack
Beans, tomatoes, and red sweet pepper in my home made chili I had for lunch
Handful of Strawberries for a mid afternoon snack
2 cups baby spinach in a tortilla wrap with chicken and sprinkling of ranch dressing and cheddar cheese for dinner. I only ate half the wrap and saved the rest of the wrap for lunch tomorrow.
Honey dew cut up (filled a cereal bowl)
Zuchini sauted in onion and garlic as side dish with dinner
A peach (ironically the name of the peach I ate tonight was called a "donut" peach and it was very sweet
.
*This is how I have been eating for the last month and I have only lost 2 pounds. I am adding in more exercise though and I hope to lose more weight this month. I may print this list and post it places to keep me motivated

Marie, I am going to print the list too and implement some of the suggestions.
I really want this weight gone--if I lost even 0.000000001 of a lb. for every time I think about being overweight/dieting, etc. I would be at my ideal weight three times over by now.
