...
Not stop so much as still on hold.
We're pretty busy in the last stages of getting the apartments ready, and *tired* and we've consciously decided to let the diet slip a little until the apartments are finally finished.
We're holding relatively steady. I'm currently staying in the 260-264 range, bouncing up and down.Last edited by Greebo; 03-26-2009 at 03:45 PM.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Found this old thread - Greebs have you plateaued or lost more since your last post here? I joined the LAPAW in 2010 so I never saw your progress in 2009. How did Cea do as well?
Now THIS is motivation
Loved reading how excited you got and what you were going to reward yourself with once you've achieved a certain #.

Meh, I'm not upset about it - but I do need to get back on the wagon.

Thanks for the cheers. I dropped about 30 pounds from the start of this thread and put half of it back on last year. I've been slowly bringing it back down and have managed to not regain for the past 5 months with the exception of vacation. I've re-lost all but 2 pounds of that trip.
So I'm back on the watching... I'm eating more veggies, less meat and limiting the refined carbs. But I am so in the mood to bake right now. I've been watching "Baking With Julia" and there are so many recipes I want to learn. I even found a used copy that should be delivered soon - yay for the book and leisure envelope - Boo for the waistline. LOLThe Free Spirit Saver who walks the path with Greebo.

I have lost ~19 lbs since the last week in April when I started doing the SB diet. It started bothering my stomach, so I stopped (I think this was due to a slight intolerance to whole wheat). I took a couple of months off, and now I'm doing an even stricter diet. Sugar free, very low carbs, low cal. So I've lost about 10 lbs from each diet
(my ticker reflects the first round...I need to update it)

I hear ya, Cea. I have the book 'Baking with Julia' (and also 'The Way to Cook' by her). I have never tried a recipe by her that wasn't absolutely to die for. Yum.
Now DH and I are having to work on weight and health. We are boht WAY overweight, and having health issues. We are older than you and Greebs, but it catches up, I must say.
I'm sure not using her books at the moment. I suppose I could do her roast chicken or something, LOL!______
