Default Just found this part of the forums.

and I'm glad to see this. I've started changing my families lives 4 weeks ago when I started us all on Weight Watchers and I've completely changed the way I'm cooking and eating. So far I've not had one day of feeling hungry or deprived. As of this morning I've lost 17 pounds. My son has lost over 16 pounds now and my dd is stuck at 10 pounds. My husband isn't trying to loose as he doesn't need to but he's going along for the ride with us. He's diabetic so the healthy eating will help him too. We are all feeling better about ourselves. I have a lot more to loose but I will get there. My son wants to lose about another 15 or 20 pounds and my daughter wants to loose another 20 pounds. They start back to college in a couple of weeks so they'll have to really be careful about lunch but I can have a healthy supper. They will eat out twice a week and take their lunch the other days so we can keep those healthy.

This is a journey my family decided to make together. I have so many health problems and I've got to do this to save my own life. I've got a great family that are sure sticking by me in this. Its so funny when we go to the grocery store and my son or daughter will run up and ask to see the Weight Watchers calculator to check the points on things. I really think this is setting a good example for them and they will be conscious from now on about what they are eating. I'm a happy mama.

Wow...those are amazing results. Congratulations to your whole family! I know it's hard when you eat out to find healthy choice on the menu, but I found a great little book that has calorie and fat and fiber info for most popular restaurants...it's called Calorie King's Calorie, Fat and Carbohydrate Counter. Here's a link to the book:[ame="http://www.amazon.com/2008-CalorieKing-Calorie-Carbohydrate-Counter/dp/1930448163/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1218259003&sr=8-1"]http://www.amazon.com/2008-CalorieKing-Calorie-Carbohydrate-Counter/dp/1930448163/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1218259003&sr=8-1[/ame] It really helps me make better choices when I eat out.
Anyway...Congratulation, again, and good luck on your continued lifestyle change!

Thank you all. I just wanted to report that I am now down almost 20 pounds. My son has lost 20 and my daughter 11 pounds. We are still fighting the good "food" fight but I feel like we are getting a much better handle on things. I really want to loose this weight. My kids go back to college tomorrow so it will be a bit tough on them and they'll have to make good lunch food choices. They'll still be eating breakfast and supper at home.
