Default Does this sound too extreme?

Ok you all know I have my 30 yr. reunion coming up next Saturday (the 16th). I would dearly love to lose 5 lbs. before then but as I've been on this 'weightloss journey' for 3 years now and control my eating fairly well (for the most part exceptin' when we're on a trip, ugh) I don't think my metabolism will just jump into high gear unless I do something drastic. I won't starve myself but I have considered doing a modified 'Biggest Loser' workout schedule for the week......I don't have the time to do 8 hours a day (or the inclination) but I am considering doing an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening, alternating between cardio and weight training. Does it sound like I've slipped off the deep end? I really, really, really want to be back down to my lowest weight since starting my journey....just to feel the very best I can (it's sooooo stupid for a danged class reunion but there ya go....). I was overweight at the last one we had and felt absolutely awful about myself....so that's what this is all about. Tell me, have I gone bonkers?

I don't think that's extreme. Just be careful that you monitor your water, stretching and rest. I was afraid you were thinking of doing some lipo with your flow-be hair cutter, or something. Sorry, I am SOOOOO sleep deprived right now. Have fun at your reunion!

Doesn't sound too bad, just be careful, drink alot of water and if it starts to hurt, don't press on. I know what you mean about wanting to look terrific for a class reunion!!!

Your body will want more rest from the sudden increase in activity. It may also want more calories so be careful what snacks you choose. Drink plenty of water to help flush out any lactic acid build up in your muscles (light massage will also help get it from the muscles into the lymphatic system and the blood stream so your body can flush it out). Be aware that more injuries happen with fatigue so again, be careful. You don't want to go to the reunion with a sprained ankle or strained shoulder.

    Good luck and have fun.

No starving, plenty of water & sensible eating along with your morning & evening exercise sounds good to me. Wear that color I said I liked on you and it'll blow 'em away.
Have fun above all & think about how far you've come since the last reunion. ENJOY!! no matter what the scale says. You KNOW you are in such a healthier spot. Kudos Lisa! :doublethumbs:

Oh btw, pace yourself, what would be worse, being a couple, literally a couple lbs from where you want to be or hunched over with back pain from doing too much. I know which one I vote for.
